I recommend visiting in this order-War Museum (it goes into before WW1), Occupation Museum (German/Soviet ovcupation and talks about singing revolution, etc), and last the Popular Front Museum, which deals with the protests and changing not only of Latvia but all Baltic states in late 80s and 90s.

All in all, it was a good day of history to learn what I didn’t know before.

My Dad was born in a place called Roya, he studied in Riga, he was sea faring
he wrote his memoirs and I wonder if the museum would be interested
