I highly recommend Malongo on the rue St. Andres des Arts in the 6th (right on the edge of the 5th). The coffee is excellent, baristas quite good and it’s a good place to sit and work (free internet). Also – the small coffee place just as you enter the Marche d’Aligre has great coffee and really nice people.

Hehe- If I were in Paris I would only drink the most meager amounts of coffee and have my fill on the wine.
