Crime levels are low, children play safely on their own outside; there are good medical and education systems and masses of history.

They drive on the left (3 abreast uphill) and there is no Council tax.

The weather is great, people are friendly and for those who choose to take up residency, income tax is 15%.

There has been an exponential growth in low costs flights from across Europe to the island and you are close to Sicily and the North African coast.

What more could you want?
