In order to start this off with I recommend phoning or emailing a current member of staff. I also advise checking details on the museum website in question. Take a free packed lunch. Or buy some food at the museum cafe. If there is a free newsletter check that. Make brief summary notes on the museum too. Best wishes. Speak with a member of current staff about museum events.

I recently went to a local free museum to learn about the entire history of the town. Spend time at the museum of your choice. Investigate it fully. Use your brief summary notes. I like to buy a drink in the cafe that is located at the museum. Find out if the museum provides loan boxes or does talks.

My top tip is DEFINITELY avoid during rush hour and also see what else is in the area. We found the Grant Museum of Zoology and the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology just a few minutes walk away! Both were empty and a great way to spend some time.
