interesting that they control capacity………..there are as many (according to a story out of the UK) 25 to 30% of travelers traveling independently……………

i just wont pay more than if i took a 4 start hotel and train trip to accomplish the same route, i dont like to cruise i just dont want to drag a bag across germany……

Travel agents: having worked in commercial sales for 20+ years i understand why they dont want to spend a lot of time with a solo traveler for 1/2 the commission. however when the last one told me to find the trip and she would book it, i stopped trying to find an agent who wanted to work with independent travelers…… not everyone spends 5k on a 7 or 8 day trip………………. i prefer to travel 2 to 3 months than take a ‘vacation’.

AMA Waterways is offering “no single supplements” for all of 2016. That offer is capacity controlled, so that means that there are only so many per ship and are not offered for some cabins (suites) It is a great deal and the best way to get this is to book early.
To get in on a “no single supplement” special, check with your Travel agent who is a river cruise specialist. She or he can let you know what the current specials are and give you a call when something comes up.

river cruises continue to often charge 200% for an individual traveler and the 2 for 1 promotions are very misleading.
