Porto was my favorite city in Portugal – I loved the area by the river, and definitely loved all the Port tastings 🙂 Your post brought back good memories. There is definitely enough to see and do in Porto without spending a lot of money, just walking around the city and exploring all the tiny medieval looking streets by the river is fun and free.
